Social Networking

I think it is a good idea for a library to be part of the growing age in technology as information is making its way into the cloud alot quicker than the new set of materials moving onto the library racks. Social networking is being used more often, perhaps on a daily basis for instant messaging purposes. It seems if the population uses it regularly, the effect it will have on libraries may encourage improvement on user experience as a result of keeping up to date with the trends. To be behind the times, would be a struggle for most and for libraries to not use social networking would suffer tomorrow's news. I believe it should be implemented.

  2. Yes I agree. It has become a necessity for libraries to participate in social networking. It helps them for knowledge sharing, information distribution, communication and knowledge gathering. And it's important that the staff are well updated on these new technologies.
