Comments made to co-bloggers
At this stage, I've only been able to comment on Chaminga's blog page because others have not invited me to their blog pages yet :( Just briefly commented about the similar multi-cultures in Liverpool and Auburn.

Layout Page -> the top center box below the Title, I selected [add a gadget]
Gadget Pop-up Window -> selected 'search box' and followed the prompts to apply the settings.
Layout Page -> I've placed the 'contributors' box on top of 'blog archive' by using drag and drop.
Layout Page -> I clicked [add a gadget] above "contributors" and selected 'translate'.
Translate Page -> named the Title "Lanaguage Mode" and selected radio button 'Drop-Down Only'. Then hit Save.
Layout Page -> finalized customizing by clicking [Save arrangement].

My recommendations for Auburn City Library 2.0
The current use of 2.0 technologies in Auburn City Library hosts a sufficient selection of online resources for the Auburn community, however the navigability of the council's website is quite difficult to browse through.
By improving the user experience of the council page and other main library e-resource pages, this will then appeal the community to gain the exposure of technology. Members will be intact with the current trends of 2.0 Libraries at a fast-paced environment. Just to have a say and input of the current 2.0 technologies that my local library does not provide yet - I have come up with a list below some examples that could make this transition happen in the near future, this includes:

Just to have a say and input of the current 2.0 technologies that my local library does not provide yet - I have come up with a list below some examples that could make this transition happen in the near future, this includes:
- Children & Family - Social networking page to promote library programs -
- Adult Fiction - Book reviews option on the library online catalogue -
- Information/Reference - Live reference service to support regular library users, who are mainly from Afghanistan, China, Turkey, Nepal and Sri Lanka -
- Youth - Interactive online gaming sessions for youth groups e.g. trivia, puzzles etc.
- Local Studies - Auburn Library community database: covering various topics
Evaluation - 2.0 Technologies of Auburn City Library
The importance of Library 2.0 in Auburn City is for members coming from different backgrounds getting the help they need to learn English in Australia and learning about the library's main learning centre called the "Digital Hub". Digital Hub is a community-based computer training and internet access point containing a number of internet ready computers. It primary purpose is to educate and inform members of the community about the National Broadband Network (NBN). The Digital Hub is to help individuals improve their digital literacy skills and to demonstrate the possibilities of using the NBN.
In the Local Studies section of Auburn City Library, the council has provided the following:
The youth services of Auburn City includes the following:

- Summer Reading Club - designed to encourage children to maintain their reading during the long summer break from school.
- Homework Help - study support from qualified teachers available on the ground floor during school term.
- Premier's Reading Challenge - aims to encourage a love of reading and to enable students to experience quality literature.
- Youth Services and Programs

The reference collection includes encyclopaedias, dictionaries, yearbooks and atlases. The special collections include NAPLAN, IELTS, legal information (LIAC), drug information (DI@YLL) and High School Certificate resources (HSC). These items are available for use in the library only.

Current Awareness Post
Having robots to do library jobs can easily take over and place a huge impact on the future of librarians. The automated book delivery system is serving well as its already made its way to local universities such as Macquarie Uni Library, based in Macquarie Park. Seems like most of the positions in Library for us would be moving into back-office support soon, leaving the library setting entirely operated through automation technologies.

Social Bookmarking
Being able to add book reviews online should be a service to most libraries as it allows the library to deliver more than just a resource available on the collection but to also bring closely an interactive community of book readers a taste of what its about and an overall shared interest.
Unfortunately, my local library does not provide this option on its catalogue, along with most public libraries.

Social Networking
I think it is a good idea for a library to be part of the growing age in technology as information is making its way into the cloud alot quicker than the new set of materials moving onto the library racks. Social networking is being used more often, perhaps on a daily basis for instant messaging purposes. It seems if the population uses it regularly, the effect it will have on libraries may encourage improvement on user experience as a result of keeping up to date with the trends. To be behind the times, would be a struggle for most and for libraries to not use social networking would suffer tomorrow's news. I believe it should be implemented.

A photo of Woodstock Public Library in 1935 - A library which started as a private subscription library run by Woodstock Literacy and Woodstock Society. The collection was then turned over to the city and had opened as a Library on the south side of a construction city hall named the Woodstock Opera House. Below is the link to the photo:

Blogs
The internet librarian, Mike Ridley's creativity in writing on a psychological level - overseeing what makes the mind sharper as these new problems start to make their way into society. A term he used called "mind-melding" which looks at any aspect that could mean something to shape the brain into place. How information is obtained through eating soup. It generates those thoughts of spirituality which I enjoy from time to time.

What is Library 2.0?
Library 2.0 is a common term adopted from web 2.0, which is a micro version of the web's major applications eg. wiki, oxford online, encyclopedia etc. It is implemented for library services in today's society to grow into a setting which is more virtual and physical, more interactive, collaborative and driven by community needs. Examples would be gaming/trivial nights for teens, blogs and collaborative photo sites. The basic drive is to get people back into the library and provide relevance into their daily lives.
